Summary: The present work was carrid aut during several years and includes studies of dendrological importance on 8 parks of Zagreb and 2 private gardens in thepart ofthe city called Tuškanac. Theplant material included in this investigation was exotic woody plants: Calocedrus decurrens, Cedrus libani, Ginkgo biloba, Metasequoia glvptostroboides and Taxodium distichum. The study included the degree of representation estimate of generally vitality on the basis ofincrement in height and diameter, the state ofhealth, and finallv phenological observations -beginning of vegetation, leafing, flowering, fruit ripening, colour changing and the fali ofleaves.
The task ofthis study has been to evaluate the possibility ofwider utilization ofthe observed exotic trees in urban areas and cultivated landscapes of Croatia. The analysis ofresults the present workwas indicated good generally vitalitv far ali investigation exotic species.
