Summary: The author discusses in detail the recruitment time in consideration of the silvicultural system. From Fig. 2. and Tab. II it is visible that the recruitment time is almost equal in all diameter gradations above 27,5 cm. d. b. h. This equal time of recruitment can be ascribed to the group structure of the forest. Through the group-selection method of cutting it is possible to reduce the recruitment time and thus increase the diameter increment in thinner diameter gradations
