| Summary: The nursery production in the Croatian Kant area has a century long tradition, but it has never fully developed due to a poor economic situation in forestry. The author believes that the Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean areas should be cultivated by the method of balled root system, namely in containers, where air pruning of roots is possible. In order to obtain a quality planting materijal it is necessary to ensure a watering-system of the nursery. Maintenance of quality Mediterranean nurseries would provide the basis for permanent and reliable afforestation ofKarst in Croatia. | ||
