Influence of Weather Conditions on the Occeurrence of Forest Fires Along the Adriatic Coast and Islands During 1993.     pdf     HR     EN 39
Summary: This paper describes the weather condition and its influence on the events of forest fires on the costal Adriatic area for the period 1 April to 30 September 1993. Dry periods, illustrated through the meteorological index of forest fire danger, have stipulated the increased frequency in classes of high and very high danger in July and August. This caused the increased frequency of forest fires in these months.

The war actions and lacking the most efficient means for fire suppression, CAN ADAIR CL-215, were the causer for a large increase of burnt area per one forest fire.
