|Summary: The paper presents the results of soil properties analysis in pedological profiles down to the depth of 150 cm in relation to foristric tree composition in the forests of black alder (Alnus glutinosa Gdrnt), European ash (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahi), Peduncled oak (Quercus robur L.) and their transitions.
Ecosystem is mainly developed on marsh andpseudogley soils that originated from Hollocene alluvium closde to lower courses of the rivers Lonja, Glogovnica, Cesma and their tributary streams.
The moistest soils are in the forest of black alder (Alnus glutinosa Gdrnt). Excessive moistening exchanges with land reclamation during summer all the year round on the soils of European ash (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl.). These exchanges of soil moisturewith thw apperance of ground vegetation condition clay developement in surface soil horizons and initial developement of rugged microrelief
In the forests of Peduncled oak (Quercus robur L.) the soil is fresh and less frequently flooded by flood water. Clay and heavy clayey soil texture us under the forest of European ash (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl.) and predominantly loam soils under the forest of black alder (Alnus glutinosa Gdrnt) and Peduncled oak (Quercus robur L.). By increasing soil depth lighter texture composition generally appears.
The amount of humus in the soil is the biggest under the forest of black alder (Alnus glutinosa Gdrnt) and the smallest one under the forest of Peduncled oak (Quercus robur L.). Soil reaction (pH) varies with the depth of pedological profile from acid to neutral.
Ecological corelation between pedological soil properties and of individual. tree species presence is confirmed by very strong correlation between of soil particles < 0.002 mm at the depth of 25-30 cm and of European ash (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl.) presence and Peduncled oak (Quercus robur L.) presence. Very strong correlation is established between clay soil and of humus under the forests of European ash (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl.) and Peduncled oak (Quercus robur L.). These ecological incestigations make contribution to more regular programming of exploitation and protection of lowland forests ecosystem.
