M. Idžojtić: DOMAĆINI I RASPROSTRANJRNOST BJELOGORIČNE BIJELE IMELE Šumarski list br. 9-10, CXXVII (2003), 439-447 Rasprostranjenost imele je mozaična, stoje uvjetovano mozaičnom rasprostranjenošću domaćina, lokalnim uvjetima, kretanjima ptica prenositelja i dr. Kontinuirana rasprostranjenost na nekoj vrsti može se pratiti samo u dijelu areala poljskog jasena (Fraxinus angustifolia). Ako se na stablima nalazi velik broj grmova imele, ona dodatno jače iscrpljuje svoga domaćina, no općenito se može reći da ova podvrsta imele ne predstavlja veći gospodarski problem u Hrvatskoj, za razliku od podvrste V. a.
