N. Potočić, I. Seletković: STANJE OŠTEĆENOSTI SUMA U REPUBLICI HRVATSKOJ 1998. GODINE

Šumarski list br. I 2, CXXIV(2000), 51-56

SUMMARY: The assessment of crown condition in Croatia has been
conducted since 1987, according to methods and in cooperation with the
International Cooperative Programme on Assessment and Monitoring of Air
Pollution Effects on Forests (ICP Forests). In this paper the results of the 1998
assessment are shown. The crown condition data for our most important tree
species is given separately, including the comparison with the results of
European assessments. Based on the results of monitoring in the past years,
the graphs were made showing the trends of crown damage in Croatia and
Europe.

Key words: Crown condition assessment, ICP Forests, defoliation,
16x16 km grid plots, 4x4 km grid plots, crown damage, Silver fir, Common
oak, Beech.
