Determination of Sulphur in Plant Material and Soil by Means of
Infared Spectrometry


S u m m a r y


Determination of fulphur in plant material and soil was carried out by infrared
spectrometry using the SC-132 Sulphur Determinattor apparatus of the
Leco Company. Burning of samples was carried out without an accelerator and
with the application of a V206 and COM-AID accelerator. With the application
of COM-AID in the plant material samples lower results were obtained, parti-´
cularly in the case of soil samples. Significant différences were not determined
between the results of analyses obtained with and without the addition of V205.
Therefore it is recommended that analyses are performed of plant material
samples and soil samples without the application of the tested accelerators.
