The Time for Experiments in Forestry Organization Has Run Out Summary In a study made by the Institute of Economics and in a number of articles published in Šumarski list in Zagreb, Professor R. Sabadi alone or together with his coauthors discusses a new model of organization of forestry in SR Croatia (cf. references Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). The present author does not agree with the proposals of Professor R. Sabadi et al. and in this paper critically examines some of his theses and puts forward his own proposals for adequate organization of forestry in SR Croatia. This paper has the following structure: — Introduction — Discussion, which includes the following paragraphs: The lagging behind of forestry and the country because of limitations on the free use of forests and woodland by forestry enterprises. Market and forestry products and services. The disadvantageous position of forestry in primary distribution. Critical remarks on the organization of forestry proposed by Professor R. Sabadi. A new proposal for the organization of forestry. — Conclusion — References — Summary The author has reached the following conclusions: 1. The turnover of forests and woodland has only marginal importance in forestry. Therefore, it does not constitute a threat that would require special |
