Mogući programi akcija za zaštitu in situ uključiti će eliminaciju koza na otoku,
kao i javnu kampanju da se sađenje ograniči isključivo sa sadnicama iz domaćeg
sjemena, da bi se sačuvao integritet domaćih gena. Alternativno, ex situ
zaštita svojstava gena svih pet populacija mogla bi biti jeftinija i uspješnija.
