ukazuje na značajnu činjenicu da biocenotski optimum nekog faktora ne
mora za određenu vrstu biti isti kao i njen fiziološki optimum. Neke velebitske
vrste s kiselih supstrata u monokulturnom eksperimentalnom uzgoju uspijevaju
i na neutralnim, pa čak i blago alkaličnim supstratima; kao npr. Geranium
silvaticum L., Polygonatum verticillatum (L.) All., Rubus saxatilis L.,
Trollius europaeus L. Takvi pokazatelji mogli bi proširiti mogućnost uzgoja
ljekovitog bilja i utjecati na rajonizaciju naših područja u te svrhe.

Investigation Results About Adaptation of Some Medicinal Plant Species to the
Changed Ecological Conditions

Summary

The experiments on üor autochtonic medicinal plants adaptation and introduction
are being carried out in the botanical garden of medicinal plants »Fran
Kušan« of the Department for Pharmaceutical Botany at the Faculty of Pharmaceutics
and Biochemistry. The aim is to contribute the planting of such plants
to the greater exent, rather than collecting them in the nature, and by this
way to save our flora.

We also hope to encourage different firms engaged in planting to develope
their work in this field as one more possibility of extra income sources.
We have benn examining the process of adaptation of 68 species of plants,

i.e. their planting vitality in regard to soil reaction, the concentration of carbonate
in the soil and partly climatic conditions. The results obtained distinguish
the species which can be adapted from the others that can not be planted under
given conditions. The amplitudes concerning the soil reaction and the carbonate
concentration are given in order to increase the planting possibilities
and help the area categorization.
