estimates and the times used. This led to the authors´ conclusion that the THV-
system was applicable for the Forest Enterprise »Josip Kozarac«. Consequently, the
application of the THV-system requires a change of the woodcutters´ basic wages.
In other words, without adjusting the income policy with the THV-system, no
application of the latter is possible.


Finally, the existing standard times were compared with those used and estimated
under the THV-system. The analysis makes clear that the standard times
being approved by the management exceed by 50% the times actuall needed for
cutting and primary conversion of wood. This of course, results in excessive manpower
and additional costs.
