SUMMARY Comparative investigations on the economic efficiency of management in concrete forest stands cultivated on forest and agricultural soil From the mentioned data for the concrete forest stands it may be concluded as follows: 1. The total growing stock per 1 ha in the forest stand cultivated on forest soil is greater than the total growing stock per 1 ha in the forest stand cultivated on former agricultural soil on an average by 32%. 2. The total value of usable growing-stock volume per 1 ha in the forest stand cultivated on forest soils greated than the total value of the usable growing- stock valume in the forest stand cultivated on former agricultural soil by as 54%. 3. The value of usable growing-stock volume of Pedunculate Oak cultivated on forest soil is greater than the value of usable growing-stock volume of Pedunculate Oak cultivated on former agricultural soil bu 30%, although by its quantity it was smaller by 6%. 4. The average value of 1 ms of growing-stock volume in the forest stand cultivated on forest soil is greater than the average value of growing-stock volume in the stand cultivated on former agricultural soil by 21%. 5. The average value of Oakwood volume cultivated on the forest soil is greater than the average value of 1 m3 of Oakwood volume cultivated on former agricultural soil by 43%. Whether these are chance findings or regularities we are not able to assert for the time being.
