Summary

Growth and increment of Fir cultures in the management unit Čedaljnj

In the 70th year Fir on site class I possesses a diameter b. h. of 32—40 cm.
Culmination of the diameter increment on site class I occurs in the period between
20 and 30 years of age, and on site class II between 40 and 50 years. In the 70th
year on site class I Fir exihibits height from 26,5 — 32,2 m. The culmination of
height increment on site class I occurs in the period between 20 and 40 years,
and ond site class II between 20 and 30 years. In the 70th year on site class I a Fir
stem reaches a volume of 1,20 — 1,90 m?

Culmination of the current annual volumeincrement of a Fir stem sets in
most early on site class I in the period between 40 and 50 years, and on site class
II bettween 50 and 60 years. The mean stand diameter increment is greatest on
plot 1, and the least on plot 3. The current annual diameter increment in the last
10 years in on decline.

Recruitment time is not long, it is longer on plots 3 and 4, and shorter on
plots 1 and 2. On site class I the current annual volume increment in the 78th
year amounts to 16 m3/ha. The current annual volume increment is on decline. The
highest mean stand volume increment percent is yielded on plot 4 and the leats on
plot 2. The volume increment percent is lower in relation to data from the literature
(5, and 7).

The stem numbers on all the plots except plot 1 are too high in relation to
data from the literature (7). The basal areas are greater on all plots except plot
4 in comparison with data from the literature (7). The growing-stock volumes are
greater on all plots except plot 4 in comparison with data from the literature (7).
