Summary DATA SMOOTHING BY THE METHOD OF LEAST SQUARES WITHOUT NORMAL GAUSSIAN EQUATIONS Functions of the A . f (x, B) form may serve for smoothing data by the method of least squares irrespective of the form of the function f (x, B). A and B are parameters that may be computed with any desired degree of accuracy using an electronic computer. Presented is an example in which the results obtained through logarithmic smoothing by means of the function B D H = 1,3 + e were compared with the results obtained by the method described in this paper. |
