VARIABILITY OF CERTAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF EUROPEAN LARCH
OF THE VARAŽDINBREG POPULATION


In the population of European Larch (Larix decidua L.) occurring at Varaždinbreg
(Forest Enterprise of Varaždin) a selection of trees was carried out. From selected
trees cones were collected, and sowing of seed was performed in the spring
of 1962. Plants were reared in the Institute´s nursery untl the spring of 1966, when,
within the scope of a progeny test, they were transplanted on to the experimental
