BY MEANS OF FRENCH AND 1/2 BARK CHIPPING METHODS (TIME CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTIVITY) Summary The author deals with the problem of time consuption and labour productivity in resin tapping of Scots Pine (Pinus silvestris L.) by means of French and 1/2 bark chipping methods. These methods in which the resin flows from over the whole face area to the cup — are applied to Scots Pine only in case when the same is admixed to Austrian Pine (Pinus nigra Arn.) in a small proportion. Resin of Scots Pine hardens off on the face, forming scrapes. Through an analysis of time consuption for individual woi*k elements it was found that.the time consumption for Scots Pine is lower than that for Austrian Pine as regards the following work elements: in facing trees by 12, P/o, in raising gutters and cups 8,0%>, in cutting faces according to French tapping method by 12,0:l/o. However, when collecting the resin the time consumption is by 15,6l:l/o higher in Scots Pine than in Austrian Pine. The significance of differences with fespect to time consumption exists in all cases in cutting faces and collecting the resin, while in reddening trees in 4ÖV», and in the operation of raising gutters and cups in 8Ö´V<> of examined cases. When cutting faces according to 1/2 bark chipping method the differences between Scots and Aust´rian Pine as regards the time consumption for the mentioned work elements are not significant at all. Total annual time consumption per face when applying the French method of tapping is by 3,5lri/» lower in Scots Pine than in Austrian Pine, while, if using 1/2 bark chipning method it is by 0,7n/o higher in Scots Pine. Parallel with the lower time consumption when tapping Scots Pine by the French method, the labour productivity in Scots Pine is 77,757u of that in Austrian Pine, taking into account that the resin yield in Scots Pine is by 25´Vo lower than in Austrian Pine. Labour productivities when tapping Austrian and Scots Pine by the 1/2 bark chipping method will relate to one another like their annual resin yields because their total annual time consumptions are in both cases almost the same. 310 |
