As test material in the experiments caterppilars of Pine Processionary Moth were
used. It was found that the initial toxicity was appreciably higher in Endrin than in
Pantakan. Thus Endrin can be used in the control of adult caterpillars. In any case
it would be necessary to examine its effect under natural circumstances. A drawback
of Endrin as against to Pantakan is its toxicity for man and animals.
