THE ROLE AND ACTIVATION OF ENGINEERS AND TECHNITIANS OF THE FORESTRY AND TIMBER INDUSTRY IN THE FULFILMENT OF THE 5-YEAR PLAN AND CARRYING OUT OF THE NEW ECONOMIC MEASURES SUMMARY The author reviews the successes achieved thus far in the industrialization of the country, which has been incorporated into the moderately developed industrial countries. The new S-year plan foreseas a still taster increase of the industry by 13!°/o yearly. This represents now the highest rate of industrialization in the world. For maintaining such a high tempo of development there are needed adequate efforts of the vvorking people. In this plan of development an important role belongs to forest economy, whose further efforts ought to be directed towards the following main tasks: 1. tha´t the forestry utilizes as completeIy as possible the existing sources of raw materials as well as raises the new ones for the timber industry with special stress on plantations; 2. that the timber industry be expanded with such new and promising production units whioh will be able to process rationall!y those raw materials which can be produced by the forestry; 3. that the business economics of the forestry and timber industry should be conspicuously improved along with an ever increasing productivity of work; 4. that the research work should be developed and exjpanded in order to pave the way for the trends in economy. 3. to educate cadres for a successful performance of the tasks set tip. |
